本日は小石川植物園を紹介致します。
小石川植物園は東京都文京区にございます植物学の研究、教育を目的とする東京大学の付施設でございます。日本最古の近代植物園で紀元は１６８４年の徳川幕府の時代まで遡ります。敷地面積は約161㎡ありその広大な地形を利用して多様な植物を拝見することができます。植物園内の冷温室、温室では世界各地から採取された多種多様な植物を鑑賞することができ、また有名な樹木としては、万有引力の発見で知られるニュートンの木の子孫があります。ニュートンの成家にあったリンゴの木の枝を採木して成長させた子孫の木として知られています。小石川植物園は都会の真ん中にありながら自然の緑やお花を感じる事ができる貴重な施設となっております。最寄り駅より少し歩きますが、お時間に余裕のある方はぜひ訪ねてみて下さい。

小石川植物園
Today, we would like to introduce our guests to the Koishikawa Botanical Garden.
Located in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, it is an affiliated facility of the University of Tokyo, dedicated to botanical research and education. Dating back to the Tokugawa Shogunate in 1684, it is the oldest modern botanical garden in Japan. Spanning approximately 161㎡ the garden’s varied topography enables visitors to explore a diverse array of flora.
The cool and warm rooms house a diverse collection of plants from around the globe. They can also see the descendants of an apple tree that grew from branches taken from the tree in Newton’s home, where he made his famous discovery of the force of universal gravitation. This unique facility allows visitors to experience nature despite being located in an urban environment, and the experience offers a chance to reconnect with nature.
It’s a bit of a walk from the nearest station, but if you’ve got the time, it’s worth a visit.
