東京都庁第1本庁舎展望室のご案内/Observation Deck of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1

9月もあと少し、朝晩の空気に秋の気配が感じられるようになりましたね。虫の声も聞こえ始め、季節の移ろいを感じます。

 

今回は「東京都庁展望台」のご案内をいたします。

 

都庁展望台とは、東京都庁第一本庁舎45階にある、地上202mから東京の街並みを一望できる無料の展望室です。

 

2つの展望室（南展望室、北展望室）では、絶景と共にカフェでのひとときやお土産選びが楽しめるため、大変人気のスポットです。

 

また、とくに有名な「都庁おもいでピアノ」は南展望室に設置されています。

（ピアノの演奏時間は、南展望室開室日の１０時～１２時及び１４時～１６時です。）

 

アクセス

・JR新宿駅(西改札から徒歩約10分

・都営地下鉄大江戸線「都庁前駅」直ぐ

 

当ホテルからも歩いて行ける距離にあり、徒歩約25分ほどです。

 

都庁の高層ビル群が多数ある西新宿エリアもまた雰囲気が違って見ごたえ抜群です。

気候が穏やかになるこれからの時期、都内をゆっくり歩いてみてはどうでしょうか？

 

 

南展望室

入室可能時間：9時30分～21時30分

※毎月第１及び第３火曜日(祝日の場合は翌平日）は休室日

 

北展望室

入室可能時間：9時30分～17時00分

※毎月第２及び第４月曜日(祝日の場合は翌平日）は休室日

※南展望室の休室日は21時30分まで入室可能

September is drawing to a close, and we’re starting to feel the signs of autumn in the morning and evening air. You can hear the sounds of insects, making us feel the passing of the seasons.

Introducing the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatories

Today, we’d like to tell you about the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatories.

 

The observatories are free observation rooms located on the 45th floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1, offering panoramic views of the Tokyo cityscape from 202 meters above ground.

With two observation decks—the South Observatory and the North Observatory—it’s a very popular spot where you can enjoy magnificent views, spend time at a cafe, and shop for souvenirs.

The especially famous “Tocho Omoide Piano” (Tokyo Metropolitan Government Memory Piano) is located in the South Observatory.

(Piano playing times are 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on days when the South Observatory is open.)

 

Access

Approximately 10 minutes on foot from JR Shinjuku Station (West Exit)

Directly connected to Tochomae Station on the Toei Oedo Subway Line

The observatories are also within walking distance of our hotel, taking about 25 minutes on foot.

 

The West Shinjuku area, with its numerous skyscrapers including the Metropolitan Government Building, offers a different and equally spectacular atmosphere. With the weather becoming milder, why not enjoy a leisurely walk around the city in the coming season?

 

Observatory Hours

South Observatory

Hours: 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM (9:30 – 21:30)

Closed: The first and third Tuesday of every month (or the next weekday if a holiday falls on that Tuesday)

North Observatory

Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (9:30 – 17:00)

Closed: The second and fourth Monday of every month (or the next weekday if a holiday falls on that Monday)

Note: On days when the South Observatory is closed, the North Observatory is open until 9:30 PM (21:30).
