Discover Shinjuku’s Hidden Autumn Leaf Spot: Kansen Park
Kansen Park is located within close proximity to the vibrant streets of Kabukicho, offering visitors a tranquil respite.
Originally constructed as a daimyo residence garden during the Edo period, it is believed that the garden was named “Kansen” (Sweet Spring) due to its perennial spring. During the autumn months, maple and ginkgo trees transform into a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours, creating a striking visual display reminiscent of a painterly masterpiece.
We recommend taking the “Tokyo Tram Arakawa Line (Sakura Tram)” through the city centre to reach the park.
The experience of travelling on this vintage streetcar offers passengers the opportunity to enjoy Tokyo’s retro streetscapes and autumn scenery.
From our hotel in Kabukicho, the journey by tram and on foot takes approximately 20 minutes.
