江戸時代後期に開園した向島百花園は、大名庭園の権威的な豪華さとは異なり、
当時の町人や文化人たちが協力して造り上げた「文人庭園」です。
自然のままの美しさを愛でる、江戸の粋な美意識が今も息づいています

10月後半の園内は、季節の移ろいが見事に感じられる空間です
秋風にふわりと揺れるススキを主役に、足元の木陰には鮮やかな黄色い「ツワブキ」や、
和の情緒あふれる紫色の「ホトトギス」がしっとりと咲き誇ります。
さらに、秋に咲く珍しい「十月桜（ジュウガツザクラ）」も見頃を迎え、
深まる秋の草花と可憐な桜を同じフレームに収めることができる特別な季節です

そして、この庭園ならではの大きな魅力が「江戸の風景と現代の東京のコラボレーション」です！

Hello everyone. Greetings from Premier Hotel-CABIN-Shinjuku.

The gentle breeze is starting to feel a little cooler, and the clear, high skies remind us that autumn is deepening.

For our guests staying with us this month, our highly recommended walking spot in Tokyo is Mukojima-Hyakkaen Gardens, located in Sumida Ward.

Opened in the late Edo period, Mukojima-Hyakkaen is quite unique. Unlike the grand and authoritative gardens built by feudal lords, this is a “literati garden” created through the collaboration of everyday townspeople and cultural figures of the time.

The chic Edo aesthetic of appreciating nature’s untouched beauty is still very much alive here today.

In late October, the garden transforms into a beautiful space where you can truly feel the changing of the seasons.

Softly swaying pampas grass takes the spotlight, while bright yellow leopard plants (Tsuwabuki)

and atmospheric purple Japanese toad lilies (Hototogisu) bloom elegantly in the shade.

Furthermore, the rare “October Cherry Blossoms” (Jugatsuzakura) are reaching their peak.

It is a very special time of year when you can capture both the deep autumn flora and lovely delicate cherry blossoms in the exact same frame.

Another wonderful charm unique to this garden is the collaboration between an Edo-period landscape and modern Tokyo!

You can see the Tokyo Skytree clearly from within the grounds.
